I bet some of you are wondering where Chapter 10 of Lavender Town is while I keep posting new artwork that is decidedly not Lavender Town lately. I promise it's not laziness. It's actually an interesting type of writer's block that's paused me this time.

You see, in the past, most of the writer's block I've encountered with this story has either been a matter of, "I know what I want to have happen, but how do I make it happen" or "do I want to introduce this plotpoint/character now or later". But regardless of how I did things, there was never any problems that cornered me like this. My current block is because I have two ideas. Depending on which way I go, I may have to drop certain plotpoints I'd considered for later. In other words, if I use "Idea A", I can do THIS but not THAT, but "Idea B" allows me to do THAT and not THIS.

As such I've had to consider my next move really carefully. I've debated writing TWO Chapter 10s and let you guys decide which path you prefer (a "choose your own adventure" kind of thing if you will), but I don't know how keen I am with that idea as you technically still won't know what I have planned for later in either path.

As a result, I've spent most of the time I'm not writing, drawing. Sometimes I pull inspiration from the strangest places, so I figure I may come up with something by not really thinking about it... if that makes any sense at all. So, I do hope you'll bear with me for the time being.

While I have been stuck in my writing, I've been a machine when it comes to my artwork lately. I finally put up another 100 Themes piece [link] the other day, and I suddenly have ideas for another six. Plus, I've got a couple ideas for stuff that doesn't fit into 100 Themes, but could still be fun (including everything from fanart to contests to OC stuff).

On a side note, I know I haven't mentioned Shangri-La [link] but I have to ask: I wasn't originally planning on releasing a second demo, but now I'm thinking about it a little. This second demo would give people who already played the first the option of simply starting from Chapter 3 if they didn't feel like the recap and would probably stretch through to the end of Chapter 4 so you could get a better feel of the overall game (and meet all of the playable characters). It's still something I'm debating, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
